Pricing Guidance

What determines your quote.

Every job is quoted individually — usually the same day. Four things drive the number:

SIZE

Print dimensions

Up to 64 inches wide. Larger prints use more material and ink — size is the biggest single factor.

SUBSTRATE

Canvas vs. paper vs. display media

Fine art canvas, archival papers, and durable sign media each carry different material costs.

QUANTITY

Singles vs. editions

Edition runs cost less per print. Archived masters make reorders the most economical of all.

Questions & Answers

The things people ask us.

Where can I get giclée prints made in Carmel-by-the-Sea?
Carmel Giclée is a working fine art print lab on Lincoln St (3NE of 8th, #104) in Carmel-by-the-Sea, printing giclée editions in-house on a 64-inch wide-format printer with a typical 3-day turnaround. Visits are by appointment — call 831-320-9361.
What is giclée printing?
Giclée is archival, pigment-based inkjet printing on museum-grade substrates like canvas and fine art papers. Pigment inks resist fading for generations, which is why giclée is the standard for limited editions and fine art reproduction.
How much does giclée printing cost?
Pricing depends on size, substrate (canvas or fine art paper), and quantity — edition runs cost less per print than single pieces. Call 831-320-9361 or send the details through our contact page and we'll quote your exact job, usually the same day.
How long does printing take?
Typical turnaround is 3 days from approved file and confirmed order. Rush needs? Ask — local, in-house production means we can often accommodate tight deadlines that shipped-in printing can't.
Can you photograph my original painting for reproduction?
Yes. We capture originals in our Carmel studio on a 102-megapixel medium-format system with a color-managed workflow, then proof prints side by side against your original. The master file is archived so future editions never require a re-shoot.
What sizes can you print?
Our wide-format printer handles material up to 64 inches wide, with length limited only by the roll — large canvases, oversized posters, and display graphics are all in range.
What if I'm not happy with my print?
We reprint it free. 100% satisfaction — no charge, no hassle, no questions asked. Because we proof with you in person before the full run, surprises are rare; if one happens anyway, it's on us.
Do you serve areas beyond Carmel?
Yes — artists, galleries, and businesses across the Monterey Peninsula: Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel Valley, and Big Sur. Most clients visit the studio to proof in person; that's the advantage of printing locally.
